Irritant contact dermatitis treatment at Claire Derma

Hands Patient Suffering From Psoriasis

What is it?

Irritant contact dermatitis is a skin reaction caused by repeated exposure to substances that damage the skin barrier. In children, it commonly occurs due to saliva, urine, stool, soaps, detergents, wipes, sweat, or friction from clothing. The skin appears red, dry, rough, or cracked and may feel sore or itchy. Unlike allergies, this reaction does not involve the immune system.
